Why a console runs hot and blows hard
Dust ends up clogging the heatsink, and under the cooler the liquid metal has to stay exactly in place. Here is what I check when I open a home console.

Why repair rather than replace
A PS5 moves a lot of air: within two or three years the heatsink clogs up and the cooling loses efficiency. The result: noise, heat, shutdowns. The HDMI port, for its part, suffers from cables that get pulled or yanked out.
